Mark Newdick
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, (Hons), Lincoln University 1997.
Bachelor of Resource Studies (Planning and Ecology), Lincoln University 1995.

Mark is a practising landscape architect, director of Moorhead and Newdick Landscape Architects Ltd and teaches within the landscape and architecture schools at Victoria University. Mark studied landscape architecture, ecology and planning at Lincoln University and has worked on projects in Australia, the UK, Europe and the US, predominantly in public open space design, historic estate restoration, and private garden design. Mark has been the recipient of two NZILA awards for design, and won the Gateway Design Competition for water‐sensitive urban design.

Hamish Moorhead
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, (Hons) Lincoln University 1996.

Hamish Moorhead has been practising landscape architecture for 10 years with a focus on high quality contemporary landscape design. He has practised in the U.S, the U.K, Europe and Australia and currently has commissions throughout New Zealand. During this time Hamish has worked on private and public projects from small courtyard gardens to large country estates, schools and hotels. Hamish has worked extensively in the Wairarapa and has a high level of understanding of the unique climate, ecology and character of the region.

Matthew Williams
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, (Hons) Victoria University 2010.

Matthew recently graduated from Victoria University, and will be joining the team full-time after a summer internship abroad in New York. Matthew is interested in materiality and planting detail design, and the design of urban, coastal and post-industrial parks.

Documentation

MNLA are CAD capable and able to communicate and coordinate project documentation within a design team to produce full project documentation including:

  • High quality photographic visual simulation, modeling,hand and computer presentation plans and illustrations

  • Construction drawings from broad-scale setout and planting plans to 1:5 detailed design
  • Schedules of work and planting
  • Specifications
  • Programmes of work
