In conjunction with Stephenson and Turner
Architects, MNLA won the contract to
oversee a major re-development of Upper
Hutt College. This includes replacement of
half of the existing buildings and refurbishment
of the rest.
Elements of the project include; a new road
and parking area with a re-oriented pedestrain
entry, a central courtyard with performance
and powhiri areas and cafe seating.
The design seeks to green and soften the
currently hard and pretty bleak landscape as
well as providing environmentally sensitive
stormwater disposal and planting areas.
